Illinois Residency Requirement: This position requires Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date.

The Office of Student Financial Aid at SIUE is seeking applicants to fill a full-time, Financial Aid Coordinator position. Reporting to the Associate Director, the Coordinator will manually administer federal and private financial aid to students in module academic programs. This position will need to understand federal eligibility for students in special programs as well as follow specific federal proration guidelines for the offering and awarding of funds to students. Duties will include but are not limited to:
-Package, award, and monitor federal loans; verifying eligibility and manually processing federal student loans as well as processing loan revisions.
-Recalculate federal aid to reflect student enrollment.
-Perform return of Title IV funds for module-based programs.
-Process federal subsidized, unsubsidized and PLUS student loans.

Additionally, the Financial Aid Coordinator will create the student financial aid budget for the full academic year (fall/spring/summer). Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs and goals of the department.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:

1. Any one or combination totaling three (3) years (36 months) from the categories below:
a. College course work in any field:
• Associate's degree (60 semester hours) equals one (1) year (12 months)
• 90-semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
b. Work experience coordinating office, business, or customer service/relations activities.

2. One (1) year (12 months) of higher-education, student services, or closely related experience.
