Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

This position will be responsible for managing data management and entry of confidential information for IRB and IACUC approved studies. The Influenza and COVID studies are part of the CIVIC and SPARTA programs that involve immunological, virological, and personal information from participants. Data will be transferred and quality controlled from various sources into a search databased that is HIPAA compliant. The position is necessary for the continued excellence and productivity of laboratory activities and communications across the consortia.

Funding for the position is contingent upon NIH yearly renewal. Continuation of employment, while probable, is not guaranteed.

Read and develop basic understanding of research project protocols and HIPAA compliance for data entry of confidential data sets. Effective communication skills. Demonstrate critical thinking skills while carrying out instructions. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality, while providing consultation to a variety of stakeholders. Day to day project management and study data analysis. The position will manage the responsibilities of research technicians for the laboratory support duties and preventative maintenance of lab equipment. The position will order, stock, and inventory supplies; maintain a clean and sterile lab environment.

Perform and trainings for IRB and CITI for confidential information. Additionally, the position will assist with administrative duties such as package shipping and receiving in the AHRC.
