SIUE Mail Services is seeking energetic and qualified candidates to fill a full-time Mail Messenger vacancy. Under general supervision, the Mail Messenger will collect and distribute university/institutional mail to all campuses as needed (Edwardsville, East St. Louis, Alton). The selected candidate will prepare and sort outgoing university mail (including express, registered, certified, insured, international mail) in compliance with the USPS regulations, ensuring all university outgoing mail has proper markings/postage affixed. The Mail Messenger will verify, record and charge back university departments for Business Reply mail and correct mail with incomplete addresses (no name, no box number, etc.) as well as be responsible for monthly reports, billing, and payments to departments. This position will also re-direct mail received by the university in error back to the Edwardsville Postal Service. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs and goals of the department.
