The Director of Student Records/Registrar is responsible for the oversight and accuracy of all student records and information to include workforce development, continuing education and curriculum programs and courses. Is responsible for all functions of the Registrar’s Office, student application, pre-registration, registration, student records maintenance, admission compliance, various compliance reporting and certain policies. This position is responsible for managing all student records.
Essential Duties:· Responsible for the accuracy, maintenance, and security of all student records.· Design and implement forms and processes to be used in student record keeping· Prepare and distribute various required reports related to student records· Develop, implement, and oversee procedures for the application and registration process for curriculum programs· Oversee and organize graduation needs such as; planning the graduation ceremony, order diplomas, degrees, certifications, diploma covers, honor seals and communication throughout the College· Provide Colleague support to faculty and staff· Verify students for graduation· Oversee and coordinate the communications process once applications are processed and submitted· Process Credit by Exam, Advanced Placement and Apprenticeship Applications· Verify grades each semester· Coordinate information packets, checklists and procedures for competitive placement programs as needed· Ensure compliance and confidentiality with all policies and procedures of the College, NC Community College system and applicable State and Federal agencies.· Assure all Workforce Development and Continuing Education documents and records are accurate and submitted timely.· Supervises maintenances of continuing education and curriculum students’ permanent records which includes prospective and enrolled students· Assists in administration of Educational Rights and Privacy Act (including release of information about former and/or current students) and other federal regulations· Meets required deadlines for federal, state, and institutional reports· Certifies attendance as needed· Identifies and notifies all students who are not meeting satisfactory academic progress· Determines residency classification· Performs other duties
