A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) invites applications for a Program Director for the Masters of Biomedical Science Program (MBSMS). This position is for an innovative and dedicated individual to oversee all aspects of the program. The individual will work closely with a dynamic and diverse faculty to develop and implement the program’s strategic plan and access and document educational outcomes to ensure ongoing program success.

Major Job Duties:
  • Direct all aspects of the Online Masters of Biomedical Science (MSBMS) Program
  • Be knowledgeable about and have primary responsibility for the program’s
    • Organization
    • Administration
    • Fiscal management
    • Continuous review and analysis
    • Planning and Marketing
  • Development, content, implementation, and evaluation of the MSBMS curriculum
  • Teach, evaluate, and counsel MSBMS students
  • Assist in reviewing applications, interviewing and selecting candidates for the MSBMS program
  • Attend scheduled faculty and staff meetings and provide progress reports on MSBMS program activity within the PA Department
  • Other duties as assigned by department chair
Skills/Requirements:
  • A graduate of an accredited physician assistant (PA) program
  • An earned doctorate (i.e. Ph.D., DHSC, Ed.D) in a related field is required
  • Academic credentials/experience to be awarded associate or full professor
  • 10 year's experience with learning management systems, in particular Canvas
  • Experience in adult education, specifically Online education.

  • Qualifications include a record of accomplishment in research and teaching

  • Mature skills in execution of faculty role (test item development, objective writing, course development and evaluation, accreditation)

  • Strong ability to develop and deliver effective course instruction

  • Capability to work independently to accomplish tasks in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Excellent organizational and management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Cooperative and able to work in team situations
