Open Until Filled Full Time/Part TimeFull Time, Benefit Eligible SalaryStarting at $47,476 / annualJob DescriptionReporting to the director of Undergraduate Admissions, this position within the Division of Enrollment Management will lead and manage the office of New Student Programs (NSP) that includes 2 full-time staff members and multiple student workers. The manager will be responsible for coordinating orientation programming for incoming students, overseeing the University Miner Card ID office, fostering relationships with campus and non-campus entities, and developing, measuring, and analyzing data to improve programs and services. Primary Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Fall and Spring student orientation programming for incoming freshmen and transfer students
  • Assist the Director of Admissions in the recruitment, development, transition, and retention of new students and in the administration of programs supporting these efforts
  • Administration of math placement tests
  • Utilize Slate customer relationship management platform to design, create, and monitor electronic communications for incoming students and their families
  • Manage department communications portfolio and drip marketing campaigns
  • Foster partnerships with faculty, staff, students, and off-campus community
  • Develop, measure, and analyze data to improve programs and services
  • Oversee management of the University’s Miner Card ID office and serve as liaison between IT support and NSP
  • Serve as departmental technology manager
  • Supervise two 100% FTE staff members and multiple student workers
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years in higher education, event planning, marketing, or other highly interactive promotional field
  • Strong organizational skills, outstanding oral and written communication skills, self-motivation, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Prior supervisory/management experience
