Visiting Instructor, Biology

The Department of Biology of Jacksonville State University’s College of Science and Mathematics is seeking to hire a scholar for a Visiting Instructor of Biology.

The core responsibility of this position is instructional work to facilitate student comprehension and application of concepts, skills, and behaviors that will contribute to the development of mature and responsible members of society.

The Visiting Instructor, in the College of Science and Mathematics provides educational services in the Department of Biology to traditional and non-traditional students during the day or evening. The Instructor may be required to teach biology courses on campus, off-campus, or online depending on needs of the institution.

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in biology at the time of appointment.

Preferred applicants must possess the ability to be an active mentor to undergraduate students and a desire to innovate the teaching of biology to a variety of student backgrounds and abilities.
