Minimum Qualifications:

Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Position Summary:

On behalf of the Division of Student Affairs and the Office of the Vice President, the Coordinator for Employee Experience coordinates broad efforts to enhance the holistic employee experience, including fostering a stronger sense of belonging and recognizing deserving efforts among Student Affairs employees, and advancing a diverse and inclusive culture.

The Coordinator is a member of the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs (OVPSA) and reports directly to the Student Affairs Staff Development Lead.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

· Effective communication skills, including interpersonal, written, and verbal· Experience with event planning and management· Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously· Demonstrated ability to work successfully as part of a diverse team· Proficiency with contemporary office technologies, including Microsoft Office· Sound judgment and discretion· Experience working in a large, complex, fast-paced environment· Familiarity with employee upskilling, training, and development· Familiarity with student affairs operations in a University setting

Duties/Responsibilities:

Facilitate events, initiatives and activities at the Student Affairs Division level to enhance the employee experience. · Implement new employee onboarding and welcome resources, workshops, and ongoing educational transition materials to acculturate new Student Affairs employees.· Coordinate all aspects of regular division-wide and OVPSA events and activities, including a fall kickoff, annual spring celebration, coffee hours, affinity group engagements, and other community building gatherings.· Effectively utilize key staff communications, communication channels, and resources, including websites, social media, e-newsletters, calendars, and printed materials, to keep employees informed and engaged in division and departmental happenings.· Coordinate efforts to recognize deserving employees in Student Affairs and its departments, including formal and informal recognition initiatives. Serve as the primary liaison for campus partners related to employee recognition.· Identify new opportunities for Student Affairs to improve the employee experience and better meet the needs of individuals and groups, including employees from underrepresented backgrounds.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Student Affairs departments and campus partners on employee engagement opportunities. · Collaborate and consult on employee engagement initiatives and best practices within Student Affairs departments, providing planning, logistical, and administrative support as needed.· Facilitate employee and department dialogues and other forums as requested.· Facilitate programs, materials, and workshops that enhance employee skill development and community building.· Engage with campus stakeholders on new and ongoing opportunities to promote community building and a stronger sense of belonging among employees and employee groups.· Collaborate with the Staff Development Lead to develop and implement employee learning resources, materials, and career pathways.· Serve on and support facilitation for the Student Affairs Employee Experience Collaborative.

Complete related administrative responsibilities and other duties as assigned. · Manage related budgets and expenditures of allocated funds for Student Affairs, OVPSA, and departmental initiatives, in compliance with university policies, procedures, and funding source guidelines.· Regularly assess intended outcomes, utilizing assessment results for continued improvement and effectiveness.· Serve in campus settings, engage in meetings, and complete other duties as needed, in keeping with the responsibilities of the position. Perform other duties as assigned.
