Job Summary This position is responsible for providing administrative support for the Office of the Provost.

Responsibilities
    Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; takes messages; makes appointments; refers to appropriate personnel. Provides support for Assistant Provosts, Associate Provosts, and Institutional Effectiveness.Coordinates appointments for Assistant Provosts and the Associate Provosts. Assists in processing student and parent concerns, complaints, and appeals.Maintains office files and records in both hard copy and electronic format. Assists Operations Manager with faculty records, requests from academic units, and other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.Assists in the preparation and processing of specialty projects, such as the Fact Book, SACSCOC accreditation, and other related events.Performs related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
    Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree from an accredited college.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
    Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Knowledge of college and departmental policies and procedures. Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs. Skill in prioritizing and organizing work.Skill in the use of such office equipment as a computer, scanner, fax machine, and copier.Skill in oral and written communication.
