The Department of Mathematics and Technology at Flagler

College is seeking Adjunct Instructors of Mathematics to begin in August 2022.

We are looking for a candidate who is committed to teaching and mentoring undergraduate students.

The ideal candidate for this position should have experience teaching Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Introductory Statistics and/or Calculus.  Teaching experience at the college and/or high school level is desirable.  The candidate must be a team player who is willing to work with a team of instructors.

Adjuncts typically teach one or two undergraduate courses per semester. 

Requirements for application include evidence of excellence in teaching and/or industry experience in mathematics.

The Department of Mathematics and Technology currently offers majors and minors in both Mathematics and Computer Information Systems.  The faculty teach courses designed for each of these majors, as well as service courses for other majors on campus.  More on the programs and the department can be found here:  https://www.flagler.edu/academics/departments--programs/math--technology/.


Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Mathematics or Statistics; or a Master’s Degree in a closely related field.  (or have a documented completion date prior to appointment)
  • Evidence of excellence in teaching undergraduate mathematics and/or statistics courses.
  • A commitment to mentoring students.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Mathematics or Statistics; or a terminal degree in a closely related field.
