Posting Summary:

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, Fitness Programs, assist in the administration and management of all operational and programming aspects of a comprehensive fitness program. The coordinator’s main functions in this position are administrative duties, which include staff and program management for all fitness programs. Duties include, but are not limited to: supervising and training student and non-student staff (approximately 60 total staff), program development and management, evaluating staff, studio monitoring, equipment inventory/maintenance, and planning and implementing special events. The coordinator reports to the Assistant Director, Fitness Programs in the Office of Campus Recreation.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):

Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Recreation, Physical Education, Health and Wellness or related field and one to three years’ related experience. CPR/First Aid and AED certification, ACE, AFFA and/or ACSM certification. Experience teaching a variety of group exercise classes and knowledge of personal training programs and standards. Experience with a wide variety of software platforms.
