Salary Information:

Starting salary: $88,902

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. The starting salary range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the College’s recruitment and hiring processes including job description development, recruitment, posting, screening rubrics, hiring process, salary offers, and orientation. Management of employee records. Supervise personnel responsible for process and paperwork collection. Oversee HR System used to manage hiring process and employee records.

Essential Functions:

Direct the recruitment and hiring process for all DMACC positions with attention to the College’s focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Ensure process is aligned with state and federal requirements. Train supervisors and hiring committees on hiring procedures including recruitment, screening, preparation for interviews and compliance with, College DEI initiatives and EEO/AA requirements. Conduct affirmative action reviews. Determine placement within the College’s compensation system. Responsible for keeping up-to-date on the DMACC Instructor qualification matrix.Supervise, coordinate, and develop new employee onboarding and orientation. Partner with supervisors to ensure that employees new to DMACC have an entry plan for acclimating into the DMACC college.Supervise the personnel responsible for collection of hiring documents, maintenance of hiring files, employee personnel files, organization charts, onboarding checklist and HR website designed for applicants and recruitment. Supervision of personnel will be in accordance with DMACC policies and procedures and includes the responsibilities of hiring, performance evaluations, training, leaves, discipline, grievances, work schedules and assignment.Accountable for the maintenance and oversight of the College’s applicant tracking and employee records system. Liaison for the College in management of that contract and the development of modules related to hiring within the system. Responsible for ensuring that system changes are developed according to specifications. Equip users with training to use system and its features for the greatest efficacy.Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree.Four years of progressively increased responsibility in an HR department with experience in a HRIS system.Ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to plan, organize and manage time.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of current software applications.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in human resources, management, labor relations or related area.Experience with hiring and recruitment.Supervisory experience.Training and development experience.Experience with an Applicant Tracking System.HR experience in a public sector setting.
