- Recruit prospective CAMP students and assist in the completion of the CAMP and ABAC application, the FAFSA, housing application, and ABAC orientation Stay current with CAMP guidelines, attend required trainings/professional development, and staff meetingsParticipate in community events aimed at the migrant farm working populationDesign, present, and evaluate best recruitment plan to recruit prospective CAMP studentsEnsure that students qualify and meet all eligibility requirements needed for participation in CAMP prior to turning in their application folders to the Associate DirectorWork with agencies that refer students. This includes but is not limited to schools, churches, non-profits, and farmsAssess eligibility of all potential program participants referred by partner agenciesEstablish direct contact with migrant/farm-working high school seniorsContact interested students via telephone, personal interview, and other methodsMaintain travel information and submit proper documentation of travelSubmit monthly effort reports to the CAMP Associate DirectorAssist prospective and enrolled CAMP students in navigating BannerHolding skill building workshops in conjunction with the Associate Director and assisting enrolled CAMP students with their FAFSAIn the absence of Director and/or Associate Director, step in to observe CAMP Study Hall, CAMP events, etc.Performs other duties as assigned that align with the CAMP Grant
- This position will be at ABAC’s main campus in Tifton, GeorgiaOffice setting with minimal lifting or physical requirementsTravel throughout the service area is requiredMust be able to work flexible hours, weekends, and/or eveningsMust be available to travel overnight for one day to a week.Must hold a current Georgia driver’s license
- Minimum Qualifications:Associate’s degree, (Bachelor’s degree in any educational field preferred). Bilingual in English and Spanish (fluency/proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking) is required.Minimum two years’ experience of work with target populationCulturally competent to the needs of migrant and seasonal farm workers.Basic computer literacy skills with email, Word, Excel, and other Microsoft 365 programs.Demonstrated competency in self-motivation and initiative.Excellent communication and organizational skills.
