Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:- Purchasing, contracting, or procurement certification, awarded either by a governmental entity or a nationally recognized procurement certifying organization. If not certified as a Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM), a selected candidate must complete training and certification requirements within twelve (12) months of the date of hire
- Ability to write and review solicitations and contracts in compliance with federal, state, and university procurement laws and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of clients.
- Three years of contracting and or five (5) years of procurement experience in a university or state government setting.
- Experience with SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
- Experience using AiM by AssetWorks or comparable IWMS/CMMS.
- Certified Texas Contract Manager
- Five years of contracting experience in a university or state government setting
Directs activities concerned with contracts for the purchase of equipment, materials, products, or services. Interpret, utilize, and apply procurement and contract guidelines, rules, policies, and laws.
Job Duties:- Maintains contract and contractor databases.
- Reviews all correspondence concerning contractors and respond as necessary
- Coordinates work with various areas within Facilities to ensure the fulfillment of contract requirements
- Maintain current knowledge of legislative actions and policy changes that affect procurement and contracting.
- Oversees and assists with the resolution of contract disputes.
- Reviews solicitations and contracts for contract clauses and legal sufficiency.
- Prepare, review, and negotiates contract terms and pricing with contractors.
- Requests and drafts contract amendments and extensions.
- Monitors contracts to ensure proper performance.
- Keeps current on state and university procurement/fiscal rules and regulations.
- Advises Facilities personnel of contractual rights and obligations.
- Examines estimates of material, equipment, supplies, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Matches invoice to contract for invoicing accuracy. Ensure contracts are properly closed upon expiration or termination.
- Perform internal audits of procurement documents.
- All other duties as assigned

Occasional travel for data collection, conferences, and/or meetings is required
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, with an acceptable driving record in accordance with university policy.
