The University of Florida College of Medicine, invites applications for the position of Data Management Analyst III to serve as a key member of the AIAI (Artificial Intelligence Application & Implementation) team at an exciting time of growth and innovation for the college. UF College of Medicine is forging the path of Artificial Intelligence into all aspects of healthcare. We are building a new team to support Catalyst Grants that will fund improvement projects in the area of quality, safety, patient experience, and medical operations by using the latest techniques in data science. This position will work closely with the Dean of the College of Medicine, the Associate Dean for AI Application & Implementation, and other senior leaders.

The Opportunity

As part of the College of Medicine’s AI Application & Implementation team, the Data Management Analyst III will be responsible for selecting and applying appropriate analytical methods to answer questions and test hypotheses as specified by clinical researchers, administrators and clinicians. Manipulate and analyze data using R, SAS, Python, Tableau, and/or other database/analytical software platforms at an expert level of proficiency. Uphold and defend the highest standards of data quality. Using the latest research in the field of Machine Learning, this position will support all efforts in the College of Medicine to apply Machine Learning (AI) modeling to healthcare data to discover opportunities for quality improvement.

Our Commitment

Expected Salary:

$75,000 - $87,500; commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Masters degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelors degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or similar field
  • Extensive experience in SQL (Python is a plus)
  • Deep data wrangling skills
  • Basic understanding of software development principles
  • Basic knowledge of statistical measures
  • Strong presentation skills, business knowledge, storytelling with data, and experience with data visualization in BI tools
