Department Emergency Medicine has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Communication Program Manager, Research Dissemination Manager position.

Nature of Work:

The Research Dissemination and Communication Program Manager will be responsible for day-to-day operations and project management for initiatives involving dissemination and strategic communication of research resources and products. The position will report to the Associate Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Emergency Medicine and Director of Dissemination and Implementation Research for the Colorado Clinical & Translational Sciences Institute. In collaboration with program leadership, the Program Manager will be responsible for:

    Independent development and management of project plans, work breakdown structures and managing large teams, task identification and delegation to accomplish program goals and objectives, Creating and maintaining budgets, contract and consultant services, and related regulatory, compliance, and reporting activities.  Design and development of materials and strategies for academic and non-academic multi-media communication and dissemination of research products to reach national audiences. Conduct and oversee efforts to engage community and health system stakeholders in “designing for dissemination” through methods such as customer discovery and value proposition design and partnership with graphic design and other media consultants. Development and implementation of data collection tools and systems to evaluate impact of dissemination and communication strategies.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $62,653 to $79,695.  

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, communications, business administration, business, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • The position requires extensive, diverse and progressively responsible experience, including direct responsibility for development, execution, and evaluation of strategic dissemination and communication plans, professional project management for collaborative team projects, community and stakeholder engagement.
Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience with development and dissemination of clinical and translational research infrastructure and resources, Experience with survey and qualitative research and evaluation methods, event planning and coordination skills, Experience applying dissemination and implementation science frameworks and models to dissemination and communication initiatives Experience with institutional review board protocols, grant reporting, and other research administration.

Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
