Then we’d like to meet you!We are looking for an HPC Service Navigator at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus to serve as a key partner to researchers on our campus to leverage our investment in high performance computing resources. This exciting opportunity gives you the opportunity to:
- Ensure success in the day-to-day operations of the CU Anschutz instance of the Alpine high performance computing system, including setting priorities for different projects, tracking the throughput of projects, reallocating resources between projects, assisting the team to troubleshoot and correct workflow issues, and for implementing the longer-term strategic vision of HPC computing.Acting as an advocate and evangelist for the HPC resources offered through the AMC/Boulder partnership, educating researchers and prospective users with services offered and connecting researchers with the appropriate resources when necessary.Preparing analytics and reporting that represents utilization of the resources for use in publications, case studies, funding models and other uses.Managing governance development efforts to ensure users have a smooth experience using allocated time on the resource.
- Working with appropriate groups to develop “buy up” model for units who would like to invest in greater than base amounts of compute infrastructure.Actively support CU Anschutz’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, supporting and ensuring compliance with policies on equal opportunity, affirmative action, and diversity as well as the overall mission, vision, and values of OIT and implementing programs and processes within the assigned work units that support the mission, vision, and values of the university.

Qualifications
We also have a few Minimum Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or closely related field.Substitution: Work experience in the occupational field or specialized subject area of the work assigned to the job may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the degree.
- 2+ years of experience as a researcher in a science, engineering, or related field
- Master’s degree in a science, engineering, or related fieldDemonstrated successes contributing to a collaborative research team Extensive experience working in academic or other research environments Experience with the research data lifecycleExperience leading an interdisciplinary teamAdvanced understanding of the HPC technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated product development, and utilizes knowledge to accelerate program completion. This includes understanding of silicon, firmware, and software development methodsHPC or enterprise hardware/software industry experienceUnderstanding of computational workflows that utilize large-scale cyberinfrastructure, including high performance computing or cloud platforms
