Job Summary Provide decision support on campus space-related matters. Develop schematic and alternative layouts for programming and planning of design and construction projects of educational facilities for the campus environment. Oversee and manage programmatic components of these projects transitioned to lead roles by Facilities Design and Construction personnel. Provide collaboration and support of projects including budgetary aspects, programming continuity and status updates for design development, bidding and construction of facility projects. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Faculty, staff, and external partners. This position typically will advise and counsel: Faculty, staff, and external partners. This position will supervise: NAResponsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Develop conceptual programs and budget sheets for campus capital and non-capital projects.
Job Duty 2 -
Conduct periodic space audits; direct departmental move planning and track move budgets; provide space recommendations; space allocation documentation; advise academic and administrative leaders on potential space-related initiatives; assist private consultants and Facilities project managers on capital and non-capital construction and renovation projects.
Job Duty 3 -
Write Request for Qualifications (RFQ) advertisements; prepare Board of Regents due-diligence reports.
Job Duty 4 -
Develop pre-programming documents and information for decision-making suggestions and alternatives including space inventory and space auditing.
Job Duty 5 -
Develop conceptual programmatic requirements for proposed design and construction initiatives.
Job Duty 6 -
Develop conceptual cost estimates and project budgets.
Job Duty 7 -
Participate in on-going construction related update and status meetings.
Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Business, Engineering or Planning, or equivalent combination of education and experienceRequired Experience
