Job Summary

Under direct supervision of the Network Support Management staff, serve on a technical team involved in the installation, configuration and maintenance of networked information systems. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Network Services Management and staff, fellow team members. This position typically will advise and counsel: NA. This position will supervise: NA.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Participate in the configuration, installation and support of network infrastructures and software implementation following standard practices and procedures.

Job Duty 2 -
Test and evaluate network systems.

Job Duty 3 -
Contribute to the development of project and/or system related documentation.

Job Duty 4 -
Provide feedback to team leadership.

Job Duty 5 -
Analyze basic network related problems and recommend solutions.

Job Duty 6 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Overnight travel requupported for project delivery; flexibility in on-site daily service delivery hours or (due to client shift schedules, project requupportements).

Required Experience
Up to two years of job related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Advanced Degree

Preferred Qualifications CCENT, CCNA, Network+, CWNA certification or equivalent experience

Cisco Nexus and Catalyst, Junos, Arista configuration and installation experience

Cisco Prime, DNA Center, Mist, Arista Cloudvision management application experience

Campus networking experience: 1 year¿+

Experience troubleshooting basic network issues: 1 year+

Experience upgrading network equipment; 1 year+

Customer service experience: 1 year+

Experience troubleshooting and correcting common problems associated with IP addressing and host configurations

Scripting and automation

Switch configuration and installation

Cable testing with Ethernet and fiber optic cable

Wired and wireless network monitoring

Working knowledge of modern operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Linux)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires basic level design and maintenance skills in network architecture including applicable systems and network software and hardware work experience.
