Job Summary
The HR Consultant position facilitates and coordinates application of human resources policies and procedures for assigned campus unit(s). Coordinate implementation of new or revised human resources policies and programs within unit(s).
This position will interact on a consistent basis with: unit management and staff, Talent Management Department (TMD), and Office of Human Resources (OHR) management and staff.
This position typically will advise and counsel: unit management and staff
Job Duty 1 -
Advise and assist unit management in application of human resources policies and procedures
Job Duty 2 -
Review and coordinate processing of transactions to initiate Human Resources Information System (HRIS) related to onboarding of new hires, offboarding, terminations, pay actions, promotions, data changes, etc.
Job Duty 3 -
Consult with HR Consultant Sr. on all HR actions on a regular basis
Job Duty 4 -
Coordinate and facilitate processing of formal employee relations issues, investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations in consultations with Employee Relations
Job Duty 5 -
Perform other related duties as necessary
Job Duty 6 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Four to five years of job-related experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications
PHR/SPHR certification
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master's Degree
