Summary

The cardiovascular technologist will travel to Bogalusa to do ultrasound measurements of artery and heart, supervise screenings and return blood samples to the laboratory. He/she will work with the investigators to read images of carotid artery and cardiac indices and analyze the cardiovascular structure and function and risk factor data from the Bogalusa Heart Study. He/she will maintain data and data files from the study, review database and report information provided by study investigators. In addition, he/she will provide assistance with writing reports and letters to physicians and subjects on health status and writing manuscripts for publication.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a Health Sciences field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in a Health Sciences field
  • Peer reviewed publications
