LOOKING FOR AN ENERGETIC, HIGHLY POSITIVE AND MOTIVATED PERSON TO FILL OUR STAFF ASSISTANT POSITION AT DUKE OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SERVICES LOCATED IN THE RTP AREA.
- Responsible for scheduling appointments
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Communicate skills to converse clearly over the telephone and in person
- Reminder calls to patients to inform them of their upcoming appointments
- Will provide back-up coverage for the front desk receptionist which will include checking patients in/out, pull/prepare medical records, entering charges and collecting payments if self-paid.
- Perform routine administrative duties in a timely manner
- Send communication to the department regarding Journal Club & EOHW Seminars
- Send patient the necessary forms to be completed before the visi
Work requires knowledge of basic mathematical, research and communications principles normally acquired through two years of postsecondary education.
Work generally requires three years of clerical or research experience OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE to acquire skills in administrative or project research responsibilities as well as accepted office organization, communications and research practices. A bachelor's degree in a field of study directly related to the specific position may be substituted for the education and two years of the experience requirement.
