Youth Engagement Associate and Program Coordinator, Georgetown Center on Poverty and Inequality - Georgetown University Law Center

The Georgetown Center on Poverty and Inequality works with policy leaders, researchers, practitioners, advocates, and other experts to develop policies and practices to alleviate poverty and inequality and advance racial and gender equity in the United States. Our Initiative on Gender Justice & Opportunity is rapidly expanding its project portfolio. With the growing work of the Initiative, we need a program associate to contribute to the Initiative's youth engagement, research, and communications activities.

The Youth Engagement Associate and Program Coordinator, reporting to and collaborating with the Center's Executive Director, cultivates and develops youth relationships, assists with research, and develops communications content for the Initiative and its Learning Network. Very importantly, they encourage girls to serve as advisors to the Initiative and its Learning Network.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience working on race and gender issues
  • Strong proficiency with WordPress, Canvas, PowerPoint, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal abilities and a poised, professional demeanor
  • Critical ability to multi-task, prioritize, and execute
  • Ability to appreciate, embrace and advance diversity and have experience working with diverse populations


Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days on campus, 2 days telework). Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Such review may necessitate a change to a position's mode of work designation.
