Position Description:
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager - Construction, Asset Management, incumbent acts as a Project Manager for construction, renovation, modification, and repair projects for Asset Management portfolio buildings and leased spaces. Projects typically involve budgets up to $750,000 per project. Major duties include identifying needs for renovation, repair and/or alteration; developing project budget and schedule; diligently initiating, monitoring, and following-through on all construction/project related activities to ensure work adequately reflects clients' needs and is executed in a continuous, prompt manner within the project budget. This position requires strong administrative, collaborative, writing and negotiation skills, sufficient to take full responsibility and accountability for managing assigned projects and ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and permits. Ability to work collaboratively with various campus entities (such as Capital Programs, Fire Marshall, EH&S, building Engineers, Financial Manager, Contracts Manager), state agencies (such as DSA and various testing and inspection agencies), and outside parties (consultants, vendors, etc.) is required.

In 15 of the 16 medical specialty areas examined, UCLA Medical Center ranked in the top 20.
