Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job:Nine month appointment with the opportunity for summer employment available. One year appointment with possible reappointment, pending funding. This is a 100% teaching appointment. Teaching responsibilities will be courses in the Animal Sciences. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in the discipline of Animal Science with possible courses in anatomy and physiology, meat science, nutrition, reproduction, and livestock production systems. The successful applicant will contribute to our growing undergraduate and graduate programs.
Educational Requirements for the Position:An earned Doctoral degree in Animal Science, or closely related field, from an accredited University. ABD candidates will be considered but must be completed with their degree by the start of the position.
Experience Required for the Position:Documented experience and ability to teach college level courses in Animal Science, with additional experience in online delivery of courses is required. A minimum of 1 year experience teaching college level courses is required. The successful applicant will be required to have excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language. Must have a strong commitment to undergraduate education and collaboration with a team of Animal Science faculty.
