The staff are responsible for supporting an employed population of 88 senate faculty, 75 staff (career and limited), 30 non-senate academics, and 190 student employees (graduate and undergraduate). https://socialecology.uci.edu/ Under the general direction of the Director of Personnel, the Senior Personnel Analyst serves as the primary resource to the School on non-senate academic personnel matters in the School of Social Ecology. The position is responsible for the school's compliance in all personnel matters and actions involving non-senate academics, lecturers, benefits administration and leave administration. As a seasoned experienced professional with a comprehensive understanding of UC, campus, and unit academic practices, policies, and procedures, resolves moderate to complex academic HR-related issues affecting a broad range of academic titles in imaginative and practical ways. Compensation Range: $5,525 - $6,800 Department Website: https://socialecology.uci.edu/ Required: 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a university setting.Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.Requires thorough knowledge of and ability to apply / interpret organization and college policies and procedures which govern academic HR. Thorough knowledge of systemwide and organization policies, union contracts, procedures and practices that govern academic HR administration. Knowledge of trends in academia, especially in areas of academic planning, human resource management and administration. Ability to analyze complex management issues, develop project scope and solutions, give professional advice to senior officials, and make critical decisions regarding personnel. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Excellent critical and innovative thinking to address moderately complex issues and present nuanced analyses. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments when faced with heavy workload, deadlines, and competing requests for service. Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team, to exercise sound judgment and discretion in working with sensitive and highly confidential matters. Ability to maintain the confidentially of student, faculty, and staff personnel and financial information. Preferred: Demonstrated knowledge of UC Academic Personnel policies and procedures. Demonstrated knowledge of UC staff human resources policy and procedures. Experience with UCPath system/Peoplesoft. Conditions of Employment:
