Provide customer service to employers interested in hiring OU students and alumni for full-time employment and internships.
- Educate and assist employers with utilizing the following services: On-campus interviewing program, web access, resume referrals, job listings, career fairs, and information sessions.Develop relationships with employers that will facilitate maximizing their recruitment of OU students and alumni. Educate employers about how best to utilize our services.Conduct regular follow-ups with each employer to ensure recruitment needs are met or exceeded each time a service is utilized.Be available and responsive to employer requests, providing top-level customer service in all aspects of their contact with OU and the Career Center.Research the needs of employers and determine additional services that the Career Center should provide to maximize recruitment.Provide front lobby/point-of-contact support for the Career Center through phone, email, and in-person interaction.
- Input and update employer contact information into the Career Center employer database. Enter job postings into Handshake, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Regularly monitor employer activity, making adjustments in the process as necessary and communicating with employers appropriately.
- Compile background materials and provide internal briefings on local & regional employers and general job market information to Career Center staff.
- Assist with Career Fairs and other events.Coordinate special projects as requested.
Job Location
Required Education: High School Diploma or GED
- 24 months office, clerical, or administrative experience
- Knowledge of office procedures
- General office and customer service skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Ability to complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner
- Must be detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
