Position Description:
The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Information Technology Services is seeking a Business Analyst with an exceptional commitment to service excellence to join the Financial Aid Cloud Environment Technology (FACET) project team, collaborating with diverse and talented team members to implement Vocado Student Financial Planning (Vocado SFP) an industry leading cloud-based financial aid solution to deliver student-centric processes.

The Business Analyst will work collaboratively with functional, technical and subject matter experts to elicit, define, and document detailed business requirements and solutions related to Vocado SFP and integrations to support its implementation. This position will establish effective relationships with key stakeholders from IT Services, Admissions, Student Records, Financial Aid, Student Financials and various professional or graduate schools. Additionally, the Business Analyst will support subsequent project phases including systems integration testing, training and communications activities related to implementation.

General responsibilities include: Conducts detailed analysis of as-is state for UCLA Financial Aid and Student Information Systems business practices, related systems, data, and technologies to support the implementation of interfaces from existing systems to Vocado Student Financial Planning; Elicits, defines, and documents business/functional/data requirements in the form of user stories and business requirements documentation; Produces business process documentation in both text and diagrams; Generates functional specifications to drive technical design and custom report development.
