Position Description:
The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Information Technology Services is seeking a Communications Lead with an exceptional commitment to service excellence to join the Financial Aid Cloud Environment Technology (FACET) project team, collaborating with diverse and talented team members to implement Vocado Student Financial Planning (Vocado SFP) an industry leading cloud-based financial aid solution to deliver student-centric, automated processes.

The Communications Lead is an integral member of UCLA FACET Organizational Change Management (OCM) team, championing UCLA FACET's internal communications efforts and collaborating with the OCM Lead to develop the FACET communications strategy to guide its overall execution. The Communications Lead will support OCM discovery and execution phases with primary responsibility for project communications. The Communications Lead ensures timely delivery of all communications and the overall quality of developed content.

General responsibilities include: Leads internal communication planning efforts, working closely with UCLA Enrollment Management and Financial Aid and Scholarships (FAS) to develop UCLA FACET's image, brand, and voice; Provides recommendations for structure and cadence of engagement across stakeholder groups, etc.; Creates Communications Workstream plan inclusive of identifying key campaigns, activities, deliverables, interdependencies, and durations; Ensures execution of communication workstream deliverables and events across key project phases including, but not limited to, email announcements, websites, newsletters, social media presence, FAQs, presentation materials, leadership talking points, and project materials and documentation; Develops and promotes understanding of all audiences including students, Financial Aid partners, key stakeholders, and the general UCLA audience by maintaining currency with general Financial Aid and UCLA academic cadence, steering and advisory committees, technology events and councils, and campus-wide initiatives; Responsible for tracking output in alignment with measurement and project reporting strategy; collaborates with Change Management Lead to oversee activities of other OCM Team members; implements and maintains processes for monitoring project email inbox, Slack channel, and other communications channels with stakeholders; Supports process improvement efforts within the OCM team and across the UCLA FACET team; and serves as a strategic thought-partner to the UCLA FACET Program Leadership team.
