Advancement Operations Data Manager
The Advancement Operations Data Manager is responsible for maintaining the data integrity & hygiene of the Advancement office's Raiser's Edge database through data updates, imports, and direct record management.
This position works closely with the Senior Associate and Director of the Operations team in maintaining the database and other data collection and processing aspects of the department.
Essential Duties Summary
Manage record upkeep of the Advancement Raiser’s Edge database through a combination of direct data entry, importing files, and record updates using Raiser’s Edge/Blackbaud tools.
Attention to data integrity and record management through direct data entry and/or importing and globally updating.
Proactively use data tools to search and update lost, missing, and incomplete records on a scheduled basis. Data Support:
Compile files from external sources using data manipulation tools to prepare for importing to Raiser’s Edge. Department Collaboration:
Work closely with the Advancement Research Department to export/import Raiser’s Edge data to support research projects and analysis.
Work with other departments across campus to facilitate capturing new and missing information in support of Raiser’s Edge: importing and entering files and data sets.
Collaborate with the Advancement Department regarding best-practices to maintain data integrity of the Raiser’s Edge database with other department team members.
Bachelor’s degree required (information systems or science preferred).
Experience with Raiser’s Edge, Raiser’s Edge NXT or similar Advancement database: queries, exports, record management, data entry, and importing.
Proficiency with MS Office.
Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, and data manipulation tools such as MS Access or MS Power BI.
Understand the use of macros, VB Excel, and IF/Else logic statements.
Ability to act with sensitivity and discretion while working with highly confidential information.
