A diverse, dynamic and collaborative institution, the School of Education's research, community partnerships and programming are dedicated to producing innovative scholarship, addressing the needs of local schools, and inspiring future generations of educators. The incumbent will work closely with the PI and lab group primarily on Converse to Learn, which uses conversational agents to promote young children's dialogic learning and is currently working on projects with Sesame Street Workshop, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and PBS Kids. Reliable transportation is required to travel to and from off-site locations. Proof of immunizations (MMR, Tdap, and Flu) are required to go into the schools. This position is grant funded. Position will terminate when funding runs out or if the terms of the project are not met, funding is expected to run until June 2023. Proven ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision. Proven ability to work as part of a team and to establish effective collaborative relationships with all colleagues. Demonstrated ability to use a computer and software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite. Preferred: One or more years of research experience in a psychology, education, or related-discipline. Experience with data collection, cleaning, and analyses of survey and assessment data. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people at various levels of authority and with individuals from diverse cultures and working environments. Experience with (standardized) testing of typically developing children. Experience with Qualtrics or other survey design software Experience with working with preschool-aged children, elementary school children. Experience designing materials for multiples audiences (e.g., general public, teachers, and researchers). Statistics training (including basic hypothesis testing as well as more advanced Frequentist techniques) and skills using Mplus, R, Stata or equivalent statistics software.
