Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide support to the Human Resources employment functions, including adjunct faculty processing, extra compensation and PA review. Assist with Form I-9 file maintenance and monthly new hire and retention processing. Assist with departmental front office responsibilities.

  • Assist with employment processes such as working with academic units to process and onboard adjunct faculty, and the initial review of extra compensation Personnel Action (PA) Forms.
  • Internal distribution for all PA forms within the Human Resources department.
  • Form I-9 assistance including maintaining Form I-9 records filing, monthly new hire and retention processes, and assisting with annual Form I-9 audit.
  • Assist with initial review and processing of Guest User Access Forms and Independent Contractor/Employee status forms.
  • Assist the new hire onboarding process for new employees, including preparing and sending initial new hire welcome email, completing required acknowledgments paperwork.
  • Provide support for the annual Performance Appraisal processes, including tracking of incoming forms.
  • Assist with providing PeopleAdmin support, including applicant and user account inquiries, reference requests and letter submission.
  • Process and submit Paducah Sun advertisements.
  • Responsible for maintaining and responding to emails from the departmental email account.
  • Assist with verifications of employment.
  • Assist the front office with greeting visitors, answering phones, distribution of incoming correspondence, including fax, mail and intercampus deliveries, employment verifications and administering typing and Excel tests.
  • Processes address and name change requests in the Banner ERP system, personnel and benefits files.
  • Provide support to Benefits and Racer Wellness as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Requirements:

  • Two years of college credit

Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • Three years of upper level experience in a university, business, or governmental office. Additional college education and related experience may be exchanged year-for-year to meet qualifications
  • Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • MS Office Suite experience required
