Logistics CoordinatorThe University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine, invites applications for the position of Logistics Coordinator.  The Center for Agriculture and Food Security and Preparedness (CAFSP) receives grants from various federal agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration, Centers for Disease Control, Department of State, Department of Homeland Security, and private transportation industries to develop instructor-led and web-based course materials, both domestically and internationally. The primary purpose of this grant-funded position is to assist the Associate Director of Operations by coordinating logistics, materials, and inventory for courses. Position also oversees participant registration, maintains participant database system, and mails certificates of completion to participants. Maintains CAFSP website.



Qualifications
Typical Responsibilities:

Coordinates logistics, materials, and inventory for web and instructor-led training courses. Coordinates shipment of course materials to and from designated course sites. Communicates with local points of contact, researching logistics issues. Prints and assembles course materials and/or works with print shop. Maintains inventory at storage sites, located off-campus. Stores equipment and cases in a neat and organized manner. Travels to course sites as necessary to assist instructors. Communicates with instructors, subject matter experts, and collaborators from other agencies and universities as necessary. Provides work direction to others who may assist with these duties. 

Oversees participant registration. Maintains integrity of participant records in database. Verifies grade and course requirement completion. Mails certificates of completion to participants.  Maintains CAFSP website.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED with Four years of relevant experience.  An equivalent combination of training and experience may substitute. Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field with One-three years of experience working in an adult training environment. Experience with online course and web design and development and student information systems or database systems is desired.
