Personnel Analyst, Senior
University of California Los Angeles

Requisition Number: 36212
Salary: $5,058 - $12,592 monthly

Position Description:
Provides analytic and administrative services to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Personnel and the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Personnel (APO) in the successful completion of academic reviews and advancement of faculty. This position is a critical part of the Academic Personnel process since it involves the tracking of complex tenure cases. The job differs considerably from the other analysts in the Review Section, since they are dealing with the cases that generally require only one ad hoc meeting, review by the Council on Academic Personnel and then a final decision by the Vice Chancellor. The incumbent in this position handles complex tenure cases which involve an initial review with the ad hoc committee; should actions result in negative decisions the process continues with multi-levels of review (Preliminary Assessment, Rebuttal and Reconsideration) involving other academic and Senate entities. The level of confidentiality and absence of margin for error in this work throughout these processes cannot be overstressed.
