The Administrative Technician is a core member of the University Libraries Finance and Administration team, reporting to the Dean’s Office Administrative Coordinator. This position provides office administration, travel and purchasing support as well as friendly, professional customer service on the phone and in person in the Dean’s office.

As a key player in providing effective and efficient support to the Libraries senior administration and employees, the Administrative Technician will exercise a moderate degree of discretion and judgment within the scope of assigned work.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma plus two (2) years’ experience in an administrative support role. Equivalent education will be considered.
  • Excellent customer service, listening, and oral and written communication skills.
  • Outgoing, proactive, and collaborative with the ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of office operations, administrative support functions, and human resources.
  • Ability to embrace new ideas, learn new technology, and adapt to change.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Administrative support experience in an executive or academic environment.
