Job Summary:

Full-Time Instructor of Chemistry Lecture and Chemistry Lab courses teaching a minimum of 15 SCH per Fall and Spring semester. Will teach introductory to chemistry, and general chemistry.
Will be expected to develop and teach courses using both face-to-face and on-line delivery.

Teaching assignments may include day, evening, and/or online classes. Locations may include on-campus, dual enrollment, and Early College High School. Correctional facility teaching assignment available.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Master’s Degree in Chemistry or a Master’s Degree with a minimum of 18 Graduate Hours in Chemistry required.
Able to effectively work with students, faculty, and staff members in a professional manner.
Able to plan, schedule, and manage projects and assignments.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, speak, listen, and see. The employee is occasionally required to sit, lift, push, pull and carry objects.
Working conditions: Normal classroom setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching for a two-year college is preferred.

Salary:

Commensurate with experience, 9-month contract On-tenure Track; Plus Excellent Benefits.

Work Hours:

Dependent upon class schedule. Courses may be scheduled during the day or evening.
