Position Summary:Prairie State College seeks experienced adjunct faculty to teach 100-level and above Graphic Communications courses, both on-campus and online. Please indicate teaching preference in the application letter.
Minimum Qualifications:Master of Arts in a visual arts discipline or related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in the visual arts. Experience working with a diverse student population.Excellent Communication skills.Ability to teach day or evening classes.Credentialed to teach online courses.Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to engage students in an online platform.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience teaching at the College level.MFA in a visual arts discipline.

Organization
Prairie State College is a richly diverse community college located 30 minutes south of Chicago. The College serves over 5,000 students through its credit programs and offers a wide range of associate degrees and certificates, all of which feature student-centered instruction. In addition, the College offers workforce education, ESL and GED programs, and continuing, corporate and professional education.

In order to meet community needs, courses are also offered at our Matteson Area Center and at local businesses, community centers, and schools.
