Departmental Objective:

To provide high levels of excellence and professionalism in rendering superior customer-focused services to residential students of the University, with close attention to detail and with a caring and concerned approach, targeted at delivering outstanding results in serving customer needs and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction and devoted to a “students first” attitude.

Purpose of the Position:

This position will provide assistance in facilitating the work of University Housing Operations by providing administrative support to the Director, Assistant Directors, and other employees of University Housing Operations and the Office of University Housing. It will assist the University Housing Operations Office in the management of the online work order system/CMMS, prepare purchase requisitions using eVA (electronic Virginia) as required or needed to order office supplies and maintain office expense accounts. Additionally, this position will review invoices for correctness and process invoices for payment. It will also manage time and attendance for University Housing Operations student workers, as assigned.

Skilled in use of the eVA procurement system, use of the State Procurement Credit Card (SPCC) and associated Works system, in compliance with associated laws, rules, and regulations

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required :

Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience Required: Experience with databases, spreadsheets, and word processing. Experience organizing reports. Experience with processing invoices and purchase requisitions.

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Preferred :

Experience Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access). Experience using eVA (Commonwealth of Virginia procurement system). Experience working in a college setting.

Salary Information:

Starting at $30,740, Commensurate with Education and Experience
