Job Description Summary:

Research Analysts will learn to use Esploro, an institutional repository software, to manage research assets for faculty including but not limited to: updating faculty profiles (education, honors, and publications). This is a remote position with occasional in-person meetings expected. Though it mostly can be done online. We are looking for people interested in conducting research with good writing skills and an attention to detail.

Specific Duties:

  1. Working with institutional repository to manage research assets for faculty including but not limited to: updating faculty profiles such as education, honors, publications.
  2. Answering faculty questions regarding their profile.
  3. Basic troubleshooting.
  4. Other duties as assigned by Wilson Library professional staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Interested in reading and research.
  2. Interested in learning new skills, software/applications, and technology.
  3. Organized, detail-oriented, and accountable with a well-developed self-management skill set.
  4. Utilize strong written and oral communication skills to build strong supportive working relationships with faculty, staff, and students, and construct their own understanding of the academic technology available to them.
  5. Ability to take initiative, work independently, problem-solve, and adapt quickly in a busy work environment.
  6. Demonstrated dependability and responsibility in other work or volunteer positions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Strong writing skills.
  2. Experience working with faculty.
  3. Knowledge of library databases.

Benefits Summary:

Employees are eligible for the following benefits:

One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.

University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan – can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.

In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.

Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
