Job Details

Senior Associate Director for Stanford Impact Labs (SIL)
Office of Development, Stanford, California, United States

Schedule: Full-time
Job Code: 4294
Employee Status: Regular
Grade: M
Requisition ID: 94339

Stanford's longstanding legacy of leadership in service to the world is rooted in the university's founding grant and reaffirmed in President Marc Tessier-Lavigne's vision for a “purposeful university.” In that spirit and building on the university's disciplinary excellence and interdisciplinary collaboration, Stanford Impact Labs (SIL) advances a vision for a new university-wide commitment to address some of the world's most vexing social challenges.

The goal of SIL is to work with the public, social, and private sectors in tackling social problems using human creativity, rigorous evidence, and innovative technology. Specifically, SIL brings scholars and practitioners together in close partnership and proximity and equips teams with the resources and tools they need to build in the social sciences what researchers in life sciences and engineering have already created with great success: an infrastructure that generates new insights and turns discovery into impact. The initiative will also create new strategies to educate and train Stanford's students and catalyze a culture of public impact on campus, working in collaboration with communities locally, nationally, and around the world.
