Job Description

The CSN CIT networking area is currently looking for multiple adjunct instructors for Cisco, CompTIA, Structured Cabling and Windows Desktop Administration.

Responsibilities of a Part-Time Networking Instructor in the Computing and Information Technology department include but are not limited to:
  • Lecture and Lab instruction for Information Technology Courses. Course assignments may be multi-campus with the possibility of day, evening and/or weekend classes. Courses may be delivered online, or be delivered as a hybrid, online and in person.
  • Develop Lesson Plans, and course materials in conjunction with Lead Faculty.
  • Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
  • Provide an excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.


Required Qualifications
  • Applicants may have either ONE OR a combination of the following industry certifications that must be currently active:
    • CompTIA certifications to include A+, Network+, Security+
    • Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator certification or experience as a windows administrator including Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
    • Cisco Certified Networking Associate OR previous experience as a Cisco Certified Instructor.
    • Structured wiring vendor certification.
  • At least two years of experience working in the Information Technology field in Information Technology support, IT Management, Help Desk, Network Administration, Systems Administration or related IT field.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related Information Technology fields.
  • Teaching experience as a technical trainer or academic faculty.


Starting Salary

Part time Instructors will be paid $925 per instructional unit taught, or CSN's current Part-Time Instructor Rate.
