Job Description
The Materials Research Center (MRC) at the Missouri University of Science and Technology invites applications for one or more 12-month non-tenure track Post Doctoral Fellows. The post-docs will conduct research on ultra-high temperature ceramics including synthesis of boride and carbide ceramics and composites, densification by hot pressing or spark plasma sintering, and characterization such as x-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The post-docs are expected to draft manuscripts for publication in international technical journals and presentations for conferences. A Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, or a closely related field is required. Preference will be given to candidates who are U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents.
