Position Summary

Michigan State University seeks a Senior Data Analyst to become an active member of the Education Policy Innovation Collaborative (EPIC). EPIC is a policy research lab located within the College of Education. EPIC partners with state and school district leaders to produce rigorous and objective multi-methods research with consequence that strengthens evidence-based decision-making for practice and policy in Michigan, with implications for historically disadvantaged students throughout the country. The Senior Data Analyst will have responsibility for leading managing, processing and analyzing the large-scale administrative data sets central to our work. Leading the acquisition, organization, warehousing, documentation, security, and dissemination of these complex data is the central task of the Senior Data Analyst. We seek applicants who are excited to work in an innovative and fast-paced environment.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

The job requires: knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing one or two years of post-bachelor degree work, such as a Master's in Educational Administration, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or related field; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in statistical methods or data management and analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
