Job Details

Position Overview:

The AVP for Enrollment Management is responsible for the leadership and management of all functions associated with the units within the Registrar, OneStop Operations, Undergraduate Admissions, New Student Recruitment, Campus Tours and Events, Retention and Completion Operations (Office of Student Advocacy, Academic Advisement and Career Development Center) and Student Financial Services Operations (Financial Aid, Bursar and Scholarships). The AVPEM assists with the formation and continued development of the institutional Strategic Enrollment Management plan to incorporate campus-wide recruitment, retention, and graduation/completion-based initiatives.

Oversees the development and implementation of recruitment plans to attract a qualified and diverse student population to match institutional goals. Maintains expectations of staff to provide exceptional service from recruitment and throughout the graduation cycle, to include both in-person and electronic communication. Ensures students receive thorough guidance and direction related to academic advising and career planning. Promotes efficient and timely processes associated with both academic and student financial records.

The general schedule for this position is 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. 


Department Specific Essential Job Functions:

Provide leadership and guidance (including budgetary, planning, and operational functions) to the areas of Registrar, OneStop Operations, Undergraduate Admissions, New Student Recruitment, Campus Tours and Events, Retention and Completion Operations (Office of Student Advocacy, Academic Advisement and Career Development Center) and Student Financial Services Operations (Financial Aid, Bursar and Scholarships).  Generates reports and data analysis to inform the campus community regarding enrollment-related updates and issues. In conjunction with the recruitment teams, identify and implement effective strategies to attract and enroll students from targeted populations as they pertain to SEM strategies. Maintain broad and in-depth knowledge of best practices, trends, and challenges associated with student recruitment and retention.

Build and strengthen working partnerships on-and-off campus to assist with recruitment and retention efforts. Leverage financial support to maximize student recruitment and success. Investigate opportunities to leverage technology to assist in all areas of enrollment management. Provide advocacy of excellent student academic planning and completion to include staffing and other resources to assure students receive accurate advisement and career planning opportunities. Promotes a student-centered environment that supports the personal, social, and academic development of all students. Assist divisional leadership in its strategic planning to ensure effective management and accountability of all departments to meet divisional and institutional goals. 

 

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • Requires a master’s degree in related field and extensive work experience that provides expert knowledge of fundamental theories, principles, and concepts of enrollment management.
  • Requires extensive knowledge and comprehensive understanding of functional area.
  • Must have 10+ years of experience with leading planning, including enrollment tracking and projection, recruitment-related programming, and related experiences in higher education.
  • Appropriate profession accomplishments and credentials.
  • Supervisory experience.


Qualifications/Experience Preferred:

Terminal Degree in related field.
