Job Details
- Utilizes Maintenance Connection (MC) to process the various types of work orders. Reviews work orders for validity, accuracy, and justifications. Works with various levels of Facilities Management administration to coordinate, assign and ensure work order requests are being completed in a timely manner.Provide field support and training to staff in the Academic, Auxiliary and trades Services maintenance areas on the Maintenance Connection (MC) work order system. Answer phone calls, emails and voice messages regarding maintenance requests and needs. Communicate requests to the proper FM personnel, via two-way radio, phone calls or work orders. Review the [email protected] mailbox routinely throughout the day. Perform Fleet Services duties, including processing and reviewing requests for campus and Enterprise vehicle needs, driver clearance requests and provide van training for students and staff. Issues and tracks keys for Facilities Management staff and visiting contractors daily to access job sites.Assists visitors and contractors, including issuing parking permits and campus directions. Utilizes two-way radio to communicate to the proper FM personnel. And other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent and four years related work experience. Successful candidate must have strong customer service skills. Must be able to handle critical and sensitive issues and make judgement calls as to the priority and seriousness of a situation. Candidate must be detail oriented and organized.Experience in a higher education setting preferred but not required.Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience, and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
