The College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) invites applications for a Director of Student Experience in the LSA Opportunity Hub. The Opportunity Hub reports to the Assistant Dean for Student Development and Career Initiatives and is housed under the LSA Dean’s Office. The LSA Opportunity Hub is the first stop for career exploration and opportunities for the college's 18,000 undergraduate students and serves as a resource to encourage all students to connect their liberal arts education with their goals and aspirations. Hub staff collaborate with campus partners to facilitate access to funding, employer partnerships, alumn mentors, and experiential learning opportunities both on and off campus. Through these channels, the Opportunity Hub helps students explore diverse opportunities, discover what matters most to them in their education and beyond, and put their liberal arts education to work.

Job Summary
The Director of Student Experience provides strategic leadership that requires cross-functional engagement throughout the Hub and LSA at large in developing innovative processes that enhance the LSA student journey from the moment they step foot on campus to their next venture of entering graduate school or launching into their career. This includes launching a process of Hub-wide strategic planning that will include oversight of our information services desk, Hub-wide event management, operations and administrative team, and our student intern professional development program, in strong partnership with our strategic communication efforts. This position also plays a pivotal role in developing an onboarding process, a Hub-wide training program, and improving operational effectiveness that ensures diversity, equity, and inclusion practices are integrated into the fabric of the Hub’s services.

You Will:
Assists in the strategic planning and development of operational objectives and goals for the Opportunity Hub that ensures successful communication, and execution of key projects and priorities to achieve organizational excellence in support of students. 
Lead projects that require cross-functional engagement across teams from ideation through implementation centered on enhancing the student experience within the Hub.
Ensure that diversity, equity, and inclusion models, theory, and best practices inform planning, programming, and priorities for students. Additionally, provides strategic input and consultation on diversity and inclusion practices. 
Facilitate diversity related workshops and presentations for internal staff aimed at developing understanding, content knowledge, and investment around topics of equity, inclusion, and belonging to better serve students. 
Coach, supervise, and develop the Assistant Director of Hub Operations, a Student Experience Coordinator, and Executive Assistant and Administrative Supervisor. 
Develop, design, and oversee the administration of a Hub-wide staff onboarding and off-boarding process, professional development program, and annual training program.

You have:
Bachelor's degree in the liberal arts and sciences or a related field such as higher education administration, business, organizational development, project management, or human resources
Minimum of seven years of professional experience in an educational environment, and/or strategic planning, organizational development, or progressively responsible operations and administrative work
Demonstrated experience and investment in issues of equity, access, and inclusion 
Ability to manage complex projects, and communicate cross-functionally across teams.
Experience working with senior-level leadership
Demonstrated experience supervising staff
Experience building and training on processes 
Appreciation and value of the liberal arts and sciences
Computer competency in software applications for word processing, and spreadsheets
