Administrative Officer - Communications Department

The Administrative Officer provides general administrative and financial support to the Chair, faculty, staff, and students in the Department of Communication.
Responsible for placing purchase orders, submitting invoices for payment, making travel arrangements and processing reimbursements. Oversees planning and implementation of all departmental events, workshops, talks, and conferences. Coordinates faculty recruitment activities. Develops project and event budgets, keeps track of balances and expenses. Responsible for front office reception and serves as a first point of contact for department visitors.
Duties include purchasing of office supplies, ordering of textbooks, placing audio-visual requests with OID, conference room scheduling, processing mail, and maintenance of copiers. Serves as the department Parking Coordinator, Emergency Coordinator, and manages equipment inventory. Administers special projects for the Department Chair, Manager, and the Student Affairs Officers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
