COMPASS Office Coordinator

POSITION TITLE: Office Coordinator

DEPARTMENT: COMPASS: The Center for Calling & Career

SERVICES: Reports to Director 

PURPOSE: To assist the Director of the COMPASS office by, but not limited to the following services: 

OVERVIEW OF SERVICES: The Coordinator of the COMPASS office will assist the Director and represent the office within the daily “Programs and Operations”, strategic planning and program execution, tracking and measuring outcomes. 

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, 

Managing the flow of the office creating processes and systems to enhance department operations. 

Managing, executing and evaluating COMPASS office and programs such as VIP DAYS, Engage Church Expo, Career Week and all other Career Readiness events. 

External and internal relation efforts through managing tools for site visits, arranging informational and classroom presentations.

 

FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

Assists Senior Director in areas of tracking, MPA information, Career Liaisons, analytics, and office organization.

Assist with calendar appointments, scheduling GA and Intern office hours.

Assist with services for students, alumni, employers and other career responsibilities as needed.

Maintains confidentiality and security of all passwords and materials, student ID#s, office appointments and phone logs, including all necessary documentation.

Uphold and carry out department office policies and procedures. 

Works well with faculty, providing appropriate career services and presentations

Oversees VIP Day reservations, agendas and interview scheduling

Proficient in Handshake, provides system training campus wide

Oversees & manages Student Ambassador program

Train and assign tasks to all members of the team, including ambassadors 

Additional responsibilities will be to support COMPASS events and new initiatives. 

EXPECTATIONS

Excellent verbal, writing, problem solving and organizational skills. 

Will uphold an exemplary lifestyle supported by references.

Will assist in creating a teaming atmosphere. Intermediate knowledge of Word and spreadsheet programs.

Proficient in Excel.

Able to work independently. Knowledge of job placement and assessment tools. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to follow a schedule and be punctual 

1 yr experience in a career placement or internship office. 

Knowledge of computer software, Jenzabar, ASANA, LinkedIn, Google Apps and Docs, etc. 

Understanding of assessments, Handshake, and other leading career service tools.

Ability to communicate well and give an excellent first impressions.
