Nature of Work

Post-doctoral fellows will have the opportunity to work in the intersection of artificial intelligence and medicine. The focus will be research novel approaches and methods to apply deep learning to solve clinical problems for healthcare applications with a focus on medical imaging. Post-doctoral fellows will perform computational experiments with deep learning frameworks, analyze empirical results, submit publications, and develop machine learning tools for clinicians.

Examples of Duties Performed

    Collaborate with and support Principal Investigators (PI) and other stakeholders in the area of machine learning and computer visionSupervise graduate students and interns on relevant projectsWrite machine learning software for clinical applicationsLearn relevant technologies to efficiently develop and deploy machine learning software e.g. Git, Slurm, and Docker
 

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) has been established at $50,000-$70,000

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

    Experience applying deep learning techniques to applications in healthcareExperience with computer vision, image processing, and signal processing techniquesProficiency with Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlowAbility to analyze and solve complex problems and apply quantitative analytical approachesFamiliarity with statistical analytical concepts and methodsExperience with analyzing medical imaging data such as computed tomography Experience with distributed machine learning techniques such as federated learning
