- Collaborate with and support Principal Investigators (PI) and other stakeholders with laboratory and research functionsUtilize a variety of laboratory techniques required for research projects Perform RNA analysis studies on human skin biopsies, including RNA extraction, sample submission to core facilities, and RNA-seq data analysis and qRT-PCRPerform in situ hybridization studies using FFPE tissue sectionsPerform Immunohistochemistry studies using FFPE tissue sectionsPerform in vitro cell culture assays Perform in vitro skin-equivalent culture assays Perform flow cytometry and cell-based ELISA, bioassays, microscopyPerform experiments and tabulate and analyze researchManipulation of human and mouse cell lines and in vitro models (cell lines and 3D human skin equivalents).Assist with optimization of new and exciting transcriptomics and MIBI technologies.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related fieldA combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis
- Master’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related fieldTwo (2) years of experience in an experimental or wet laboratory
- Proficient knowledge of basic laboratory techniques including safety procedures and techniquesAbility to communicate effectively, both in writing and orallyAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institutionOutstanding customer service skillsDemonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusionKnowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology medical terminologyAbility to interpret and master complex research protocol information
